A Study On Gross Ecosystem Product Accounting Of Lu’an City,Anhui Province

Lu’an City is rich in ecological resources,and its regional location is important.It is a crucial protected area for ecological resources in Anhui Province.It’s urgent to carry out the construction of ecological civilization in Lu’an City,which is agree with the need for regional ecological security as well as ecosystem services function in Anhui Province.Meanwhile,it can help the less-developed regions to achieve a sustainable and harmonious development between economy and ecology.The Gross Ecosystem Product(GEP)is an effective method to evaluate the resources and benefits of the ecological environment,which can reflect the sustainable development potential of the regional ecological environment,and it can also provide important theoretical basis and data support for regional targeted poverty alleviation and ecological compensation.This study calculate the GDP of Lu’an City by evaluating the products and services provided by the Lu’an Ecosystem for the well-being of dwellers as well as the economic growth in and around Lu’an City.This study is based on the specification of indicator methods and the regular GEP accounting system,comparing the surplus or loss of the GEP accounting data in2015 and 2016.At the same time,the spatial and temporal distribution characteristics of GEP in Lu’an City were studied.All the study can provide a reliable basis for ecological environmental protection and targeted poverty alleviation in Lu’an City.The comprehensive analysis can show that the GEP of Lu’an City in 2017 reached 379.448 billion yuan,of which the total value of ecosystem regulation functions,the total value of ecosystem products and the total value of ecosystem cultural functions were 314.08 billion yuan,40.85 billion yuan and 245.2 100 million yuan separately,which accounting for 82.77%,10.77% and 6.46% of the city’s GEP.Lu’an City is a area of around 15461.16 km2,and the GEP per unit area is 24.542 million yuan/km2.The GEP of Lu’an City is much higher than the GDP(121.87 billion yuan).When it comes to the comparison of the GEP in Lu’an City from 2015 to 2017,the conclusions are as follows.Firstly,the GEP in Lu’an City increased firstly and then decreased during the three years.Secondly,the climate regulation function play the most important role all the time.Finally,the value provided by products and the cultural service showed a stable increase,while the function of climate regulation、 water conservation and soil conservation increased firstly and then decreased.It can be seen that the GEP of Lu’an City show a positive potential,which can support the sustainable development of the society.At the same time,we should adhere to ecologicalenvironmental protection in order to achieve the harmonious development between the environment and the economy.
