The fuel cell engine is a power generation device that converts the chemical energy of fuel into electrical energy.It has high energy conversion efficiency and no pollution of products.At the same time,it has a low temperature start and a high energy density.It is very suitable for vehicles.In the process of R & D and manufacturing of fuel cell engines,it is a very important link to conduct relevant tests and obtain various performance parameters through test tests.This article aims to design and develop a test system for high-power fuel cell engines for vehicles and perform performance tests.This paper analyzed the test methods of fuel cell engine performance.Based on GB?T 24554-2009 fuel cell engine performance test method and GB?T 28183-2011 passenger car fuel cell power generation system test method two national standards,based on the actual test conditions and key points,the fuel cell engine's starting characteristics and steady-state characteristics With dynamic response characteristics as test points,the corresponding test content and test conditions were determined,and the corresponding evaluation parameter calculation and analysis method were studied.This paper developed a fuel cell engine test system.Firstly,the hardware platform of the fuel cell engine test system is designed.By analyzing the composition of the fuel cell power generation system and the actual structural characteristics of the tested fuel cell engine,the overall scheme of the fuel cell engine test system is determined.Through the calculation of key parameters,analysis of working principle and equipment selection,the design of the hydrogen supply subsystem,cooling subsystem,and load subsystem of the hardware platform was completed;the analysis determined the data and signal output types collected by the test system,and the hardware platform was designed.Data acquisition and monitoring subsystem;secondly developed the fuel cell engine test system software platform,analyzed the functional requirements of the test system software platform,completed the software platform main program and equipment control and data acquisition,data recording,data recording,under the NI LABVIEW programming environment The design of core subroutines such as security alarms and a good human-computer interaction interface ensure the communication,control,data collection,security protection and other functions of the entire test system during the test.The test system was used to complete the start-up characteristic test,steady-state characteristic test and dynamic response characteristic test of the fuel cell engine.The test results show that the fuel cell engine test system can realize the designed functions and operate safely and reliably.Through the test,the steady-state efficiency characteristics such as the cold and hot engine starting characteristics,hydrogen utilization rate and hydrogen consumption rate,stack conversion efficiency,output efficiency,and overall system efficiency of the fuel cell engine,as well as the stack polarization characteristics,rated power output stability,Peak power,load and unload dynamic response characteristics were tested and analyzed.
