| Generally,water-based drilling fluids easily causes shale hydration and swelling,which is very detrimental in drilling process.In this paper,the influence of structure of vinyl imidazole’s ionic liquid on the inhibition performance of vinyl imidazole’s ionic liquid were systematically studied,and their inhibition mechanism was also investigated in detail.Based on these work,efficient ionic liquid inhibitor was synthesized.Firstly,the inhibition performance of ionic liquids monomers with different anions and cations was evaluated.Ten kinds of ionic liquids were obtained by changing the types of anions and the lengths of side-end alkanes.Vei Br(1-vinyl-3-ethylimidazole bromide)was selected as the monomer for synthesizing inhibitor through linear swelling and hot-rolling recovery tests.The results of XRD,Zeta potential and water activity measurements showed that most of the ionic liquids can inhibit clays by reducing Zeta potential.Moreover,ionic liquids with strong hydrophilicity can also exert inhibition through decreasing water activity.Finally,the inhibitor PV was obtained through the polymerization of Vei Br.Compared with KCl and 2,3-epoxypropyl trimethylammonium chloride,Vei Br monomer performed better inhibition performance,and the inhibition of PV is even better than that of Veibr inhibitors.It is found that the small-molecule Veibr exert its effect mainly by decreasing interlayer spacing,whereas the polymer PV can increase viscosity,coat and bridge clay particles.When the molecular weight of PV is low,some PV molecules can enter the interlayer space and reduce the interlayer spacing. |
