Carbon fiber reinforced polymer is widely applied in aviation field owing to its advantages of light weight,high strength,high temperature resistance,excellent fatigue performance and good designability.However,its unique physical structure and chemical properties lead to the poor processability,serious tool wear and uncontrollable process parameters in the cutting process,which limit its development and application.The paper studies the quality of side milling processing surface of carbon fiber reinforced polymer through theoretical research,cutting experiments and test analysis.The main work and achievements of the paper are as follows:(1)The paper analyzes the cutting deformation and fiber breakage ways of carbon fiber reinforced polymer in milling processing.(2)And it also analyzes the influence rule of milling parameters on cutting force and compares the cutting forces of diamond-coated multi-tooth tool,uncoated multi-tooth tool and diamond-coated staggered tooth tool in the milling of CFRP.(3)Choosing appropriate assessment parameters for the special shape and appearance features of milling processing features of CFRP different from metal materials,and according to the test results to make the assessment of roughness of milling surface more true and reliable and better reflect the surface processing quality.(4)It builds the experiment model of roughness of milling processing surface of CFRP according to orthogonal test results and by taking advantage of regressive orthogonal experimental analysis method,builds the multi-goal optimizing function with surface roughness and materials resection rate as goals,and applies genetic algorithm to get the optimal parameters combination and verifies it by experiment.(5)It studies the types of main deficiencies formed on the cutting surface of CFRP and analyzes their formation mechanism.The paper has 41 pictures,13 tables and 80 references.
