In the paper,we used a three-stage mixing process, and a series of high-dispersion silica-filled soluble polystyrene butadiene rubber(SSBR)/ butadiene rubber(BR)are prepared by using different conditions. We use different characterization instruments to test the performance, including mooney viscometer, dynamic viscoelasticity tester, electronic tensile tester,Shaopoer abrasion tester and so on.We investigate the effects of ZnO feeding sequence on silica dispersion and the performance of SSBR/BR rubber.ZnO was added in different stages of the first mixing stage, second mixing stage, and the third mixing stage. It was found that the addition of ZnO in the second and third mixing stage can improve the dispersion of the silica in the rubber compound and accelerate the vulcanization;the hardness of the vulcanizate rubber decreased, the tensile strength and elongation stress increased, and the breaking elongation decreased. The Payne effect was reduced compared to the compound with ZnO adding in the first mixing stage, which was conducive to the dispersion of silica and reducing the mutual relation of the silica. The vulcanizate which ZnO was added in the third mixing stage had the highest tan? at 0 ? and the lowest tan? at 60 ?,meaning that the vulcanizate which ZnO was added in the third mixing stage had the best wet skid resistance and the best wear resistance. We also studied the effect of the and the rotor speed in the mixing process on the performance of the SSBR/BR rubber. The isothermal mixing time will affect the degree of silane coupling reaction, which will affect the silica dispersion in the rubber matrix and various properties of the vulcanizates. With the extension of the isothermal mixing time, the silica dispersion in the rubber matrix was getting better. But after a certain period of mixing time, the silica would re-aggregate.The Mooney viscosity increased first and then would not change;the Payne effect increased first and then weakened. When the rotor speed was 80 r/min,the performance of the SSBR/BR combined rubber was the best. The storage temperature and humidity can also affect the silica flocculation, which would affect the comprehensive performance of the rubber. After the rubber was storaged for a period, the mooney viscosity of the rubber would increase. The higher the storage temperature, the higher the mooney viscosity, the longer the scorch time;the storage modulus G 'increased first and then decreased, while the Payne effect decreased first and then increased. The greater the humidity at which the rubber was storaged, the higher the mooney viscosity, and the shorter the scorch time;the lower the humidity, the better the stability of the compound. However,The change was not very significant.
