With the progress in economy,people’ living condition has been improved gradually,at the same time,environmental protection and safety have been paid more and more attention,therefore,which also promote the R&D of radial tire in tire company.High performance tire need low rolling resistance,high wet grip and low noise,which become tire labeling requirements.EU started firstly,and American,Japan and Chine are in the implementation process.Based on recent tire technology development situation,we know that silica compound application becomes key technology in high performance tire development.It is difficult for traditional mixing line to produce high loading silica compound,more mixing steps,high energy consumption,high risk of scorch,and worse silica dispersion.In order to solve this mixing issue,the company invested newly mono-step mixing line with tandem mixer,by processing study on this mixing line,a set of optimized processing parameters were defined for high silica loading compound produced in this New mixing production line,which is the fundamental work of high performance tire development.This paper is based on many technical documents checking and other tire company same mixing line benchmarking,in the end,a reasonable and scientific new processing design was created.During the study period,a lot of theory and testing were combined together,so all theory used were verified by testing,and the processing parameters designing were very complete.The final real conclusion,through real formulation trial,is obtained: by comparison with traditional mixing line,new mixing production line under optimized mixing process will have better filler dispersion,20-30% improvement for sulfur dispersion,keeping same mechanical properties,lower rolling resistance,so tire performance can be improved 1grade in tire labeling,while,lower energy consumption and higher productivity,by real calculation,energy consumption was reduced25-35%,productivity increased 25-45%.Through this paper study,a lot of theory and experiences accumulated for mono-step mixing line processing,meantime,higher tire performance product can strengthen local tire product competitive capability in the market.
