Research On The Influence Of Environmental Performance Of Chemical Industry On Company Value Under The Adjustment Of Political Association

China's economy in the middle and high speed development accompanied by the important task of industrial structure transformation.Under the traditional economic development model,economic development has brought a series of serious environmental problems at the expense of the environment,among which the most significant manifestation is the increasing number of haze days,which has a negative impact on our life and even endangers our health.Under the policy background of calling for the protection of ecological environment,environmental performance has gradually become a key factor affecting the value of a company.As a special mechanism,political correlation plays an increasingly important role in regulating the relationship between environmental performance and corporate value.As an important representative of heavy pollution industry,chemical industry accounts for more than 10% of energy consumption,but plays an important role in China's economic development.Therefore,this paper chooses the chemical industry as the research object.Firstly,literature on environmental performance,corporate value and political correlation at home and abroad is sorted out.On the basis of sustainable development theory,resource dependence theory,stakeholder theory and social responsibility theory,China's environmental status is analyzed to lay a foundation for empirical research.Secondly,on the basis of theoretical analysis,the research hypothesis is put forward,A-share listed companies in the chemical industry are taken as samples to study the impact of environmental performance on corporate value and the moderating effect of political correlation.Research shows that environmental performance has a significant positive correlation with corporate value,and political correlation significantly promotes the positive correlation between the two.This suggests that modest political engagement is a new way to boost a company's value,and the company will obtain government support through fulfilling environmental responsibilities for its own development,so as to enhance the value of the company.This study broadens the research perspective of environmental performance,deepens the understanding of environmental performance on the value relationship of companies,and provides a basis for improving the environmental performance of companies in the chemical industry.
