As a wide band gap semiconductor material,nano ZnO has many outstanding physical and chemical properties,and has important application prospects in the fields of photocatalysis,gas sensing,and light emission.In order to further improve its optical,electrical,and gas-sensing properties,a combination of Y-doping and Au nanoparticle modification was used to improve the photocatalytic and gas-sensing properties of nano ZnO in this study,and the photoelectric properties of Au/Y-ZnO were systematically studied.The main research contents and results are:?1?Y-doped nano ZnO was prepared by hydrothermal method,and cubic wurtzite nano-zinc oxide crystal powder was obtained.The results show that Y-doping can increase the crystallinity,decrease the particle size,and increase the specific surface area.In addition,the sensitivity of the sample to ethanol and the photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue light are also improved to a certain extent.This indicates that the doping of Y3+can improve the optical and electrical properties of nano ZnO.?2?Y-doped ZnO modified by Au nanoparticles was successfully synthesized by a wet chemical method.The obtained Au/Y-ZnO is mainly composed of a ZnO wurtzite phase and Au nanoparticles having a face-centered structure.Compared with pure ZnO and Y-ZnO,Au/Y-ZnO not only shows stronger sensitivity to acetone gas,but also has significant photocatalytic degradation effect on organic pollutants such as methylene blue.Under the same light conditions,compared with pure zinc oxide and Y-ZnO,the photocatalytic degradation rate of methylene blue by Au/Y-ZnO can reach 91.5%.Au/Y-ZnO sensor shows low detection limit??1 ppm?for acetone gas,low operating temperature?275??,fast response?3 s?and recovery time?9 s?.?3?Au-modified Y-doped nano ZnO composites?Au/Y-ZnO?were prepared by hydrothermal method.After obtaining the optimal Y-doping content of 1 at%,the modifing amount of Au was controlled by the addition of HAuC14 solution.The results show that compared with pure ZnO and Y-ZnO,Au/Y-ZnO not only has a significant photocatalytic degradation effect on organic pollutants such as methylene blue,but the sensitivity,selectivity and repeatability of the gas sensor are extremely ideal.
