| With the continuous innovation of modern technology and higher requirements for the penetration of the shaped charge liners, the selection of materials has become a key factor that directly affects the application effect of liners.Bulk metallic glasses with properties of both metal and glass have high strength, high hardness, excellent corrosion resistance, good abrasion resistance and superplastic deformation ability within a certain temperature range, which has become a popular material for liners. The material of Cu-based bulk metallic glasses is a good choice for its low prices and wide supercooled liquid region. The liners will be crushed to form a jet under the action of high energy, and it will undergo huge deformation in a very short time, which is a typical dynamic deformation process of materials. Therefore,it is of great significance to study the dynamic mechanical properties of Cu-based bulk metallic glasses at high strain rates and the process of jet forming and penetration. In this paper,Cu45Zr43Al4Ag8 bulk metallic glass is selected as the research object.Amorphous rods ofφ4×5mm andφ5×3mm were prepared by spray casting, and their dynamic compression performance was tested under the condition of high strain rates. The results show that theφ4×5mm sample has two difference states after the dynamic compression test in high strain rates, irregularly broken and sticky,butφ5×3mm sample mainly shows the state of broken. Therefore, the sizes of amorphous have effects on the macroscopic morphology of dynamically compressed samples. In the dynamic compression experiment, inapparent yield phenomenon occurred in two kinds of samples, and the dynamic compression strength generally increased firstly and then decreased with the increase of strain rates, which ofφ4×5mm is 800MPa and which ofφ5×3mm is 2750 MPa,so that the alloy has strain-rate sensitivity. In this paper,AUTODYN-2D software is used to simulate the rod jet process and penetration process of Cu-based bulk metallic glasses. The results show that the head velocity of the Cu-based bulk metallic glasses grows faster in the initial stage of jet forming, making the jet easier and faster to form. The smaller velocity difference between head and tail makes it less prone to necking and breaking. It is conducive to the formation of more stable rod jets and improve the penetration abilities. The greater the vertical distance of the Cu-based bulk metallic glasses liners from the target plate, the greater the penetration depth and the smaller the diameter of the reaming hole.So it is more appropriate to control the distance to 1.16).The smaller the cone angle of the Cu-based bulk metallic glasses liners, the faster the jet forming velocity, and the higher the velocity of the jet head, the greater the penetration depth, the smaller the reaming diameter, but the penetration depth has a greater advantage. So it is more appropriate to control the cone angle at 5070°.The smaller the wall thickness of the Cu-based bulk metallic glasses liners, the shorter time to form the jet,the higher the velocity of the head of the jet,the greater the penetration depth and the diameter of the reaming hole. The smaller thickness is more beneficial to increase the penetration depth and the diameter of the hole expansion of Cu-based bulk metallic glasses liners. |
