The surface structured CVD diamond tool is a new type of machining tool manufactured by chemical vapor deposition(CVD)technology.The micro-structures of CVD diamond coating surface have been proved to be able to significantly improve the machining performance of the tool,which can not only obtain good machining quality,but also effectively reduce the cutting force or grinding force.In order to realize the laser micro-machining of the surface structure of CVD diamond tools and obtain the best surface structure characteristics with low thermal effect and low Redeposition on the surface of CVD diamond coating,the spray assisted laser micro-machining of CVD diamond coating was optimized.The properties of spray assisted laser micro-machining were studied,and the type was determined It achieves excellent help for laser micro-machining with water.The interaction of laser light with the surface of the water has been studied.The appropriate angle for the laser treatment process,water assisted nozzle diameter and the offset distance of the water jet method have been set.Taguchi method for design the experiments and based on orthogonal arrays L25 was selected this was used to establish the experiments in this study.An orthogonal array allows for an equal evaluation of each factor via a particular Experiment Design(DOE).Using this approach,the experimenter can the the number of necessary experiments,while still obtaining true and statistically.Process optimization of spray assisted laser Micro-machining for CVD diamond coating and its base material.The influence of the laser power,scanning speed,and spray water on groove characteristics is studied.CVD diamond and its base material are optimized on this basis.Parameters for surface laser processing completed the micro-structured surface processing of CVD diamond coating and its base material with specific parameters.further,verification experiments were carried out performance of optimized process parameters and the investigation will help us to establish an efficient process for CVD diamond and its base material by water assisted laser micro machining.
