The bi-stable hybrid symmetric laminate with two symmetric stable configurations is easier to connect with other devices compared with the traditional antisymmetric composite laminate.Because of its broadband response and stable configuration without additional excitation, the hybrid symmetric bi-stable laminate is mainly used in energy harvesting, deformable wings and other aspects. There is a large deformation with the emergence of the snap-through under a minor force.According to the above characteristics,it makes the wind-induced bistable laminate vibration be potential in application on energy harvesting. The vibration response of bi-stable hybrid symmetric laminates under wind load is analyzed by establishing the finite element model. The main work is as follows:The finite element model of hybrid symmetric bistable laminates is established, the distribute regularition of transverse and longitudinal curvature of the laminate and the central plane strain are studied. The influence of different length, width, hybrid region width and hybrid layer materials on the curvature and reaction force of bi-stable hybrid symmetric laminates are analyzed. The dimensions of the bi-stable hybrid symmetric laminate is 300×60mm and the lay-up method is [902/A1/902]?[902/02/902]T?[902/A1/902]T.The dynamic analysis of bi-stable hybrid symmetric laminate with cantilever boundary conditions. The finite element model is used to analyze the influence of the length, width and hybrid region width of the laminate under the linear natural frequency of the laminate.Sinusoidal excitation is applied to the fixed end of the laminate and the dynamic response of the laminate is observed. The excitation frequency is kept at 7Hz.The displacement and strain of the monitoring point of the laminate are analyzed by changing the excitation acceleration. It is found that when the excitation acceleration is 0.5g,the single-well vibration occurs;when the excitation acceleration is 4g,the periodic intermittent incomplete cross-well vibration occurs;when the excitation acceleration is 5g,the chaotic vibration occurs;when the excitation acceleration is 14 g,the periodic complete crosswell vibration occurs.XFlow-ABAQUS coupling is used to complete the finite element simulation of the bi-stable hybrid symmetric laminate under the axial wind load.Due to the low stiffness and large deformation of the bi-stable hybrid symmetric laminated plate, this coupling mode belongs to two-way fluid-structure coupling. The vibration characteristics and snap-through characteristics of the bi-stable symmetric laminated plate with glass fiber and aluminum under different wind speed are studied. When the wind speed is low,the laminate will not have a complete snap-through.When the wind speed is 15m/s,the metal-aluminum hybrid bistable laminate will have a complete snap-through.This is consistent with the preliminary experimental results.
