The application of injection production technology in the same well can partly alleviate the problem of high water cut of produced fluid in oilfield,as a technology that has not been developed for a long time,there are still many problems to be solved,one of the most important problem is how to improve the efficiency of oil-water separation.This paper uses Solidworks to build model,focuses on the gravity oil-water separator,gives a detailed introduction of the multi-cup equal flow separator developed by using the principle of gravity separation.In this paper,the numerical simulation method is used to simulate and analyze the flow field of gravity oil-water separator because of the complex underground conditions and inconvenient observation,the effects of the cone angle of the cup bottom,the height of settling cup,the number of cups and the gap between cups on the separation effect and efficiency are discussed,it is calculated that the separator has the highest separation efficiency when the cup height is 15 mm,the cone angle is 30 °,and the gap is 1 mm,the influence of different water content and different water content on the separation effect is also discussed,so as to optimize the size of settling cup.At the same time,the movement of oil drop in the settling cup is also studied in this paper,by analyzing the movement state of single oil drop,the approximate range of the particle size of the oil drop that can leave the settling cup is determined,oil drops with particle size less than 0.5mm will flow into the central pipe along with the liquid,and oil-water separation cannot be completed,oil drops with particle size greater than 1mm can move upward and leave the separator,therefore,the reasonable range of the clearance between settling cups can be determined.The motion of two oil drops is also simulated to study the coalescence of oil droplets and the movement state of oil drops with the same particle size and different particle size.The speed of oil drops is monitored by setting monitoring points,and the motion state is analyzed by combining cloud chart,the efficient coalescence of oil drops is also one of the keys to improve the efficiency of oil-water separation.
