Volatile organic compounds are known as a kind of important air pollutants which have aroused huge attention due to their damage to human beings and natural environment.Compared with other normal VOCs treatment technologies,such as adsorption,condensation and direct combustion,catalytic combustion owns superior characteristics of low energy cost,high efficiency and simple operation.Efficient catalyst is of vital importance in terms of VOCs catalytic combustion.In this paper,manganese dioxide,a kind of cheap and efficient catalysts,is combined with a new cellular material named HKUST-1 to research the catalytic efficiency of toluene.The prepared catalysts were physical-chemical characterized.Firstly,pure MnO2 was prepared and used in the fixed bed system to carry out the toluene catalyst degradation experiment.Effects of inlet concentration of toluene,background gas and space velocity were investigated.The results showed that the removal of toluene decreased with the increase of toluene inlet concentration or the increase of space velocity.Secondly,MnO2 catalyst was loaded on HKUST-1 via hydrothermal method to prepare HKUST-1@?-MnO2 catalyst.Compared with pure ?-MnO2,the toluene catalytic efficiency of HKUST-1@?-MnO2 was improved due to the enhancement of ?-MnO2 dispersity.Parameters such as temperature and time of hydrothermal reaction,composition of solvents,metal-ligand ratio and the resource of cupric ion were investigated.The best conditions to prepared HKUST-1@?-MnO2 catalyst were acquired by means of toluene catalytic degradation experiment.And the results showed that the toluene conversion of 90%was achieved by using HKUST-1@?-MnO2 prepared under the best conditions.Finally,masses of Zn,Ni,Fe and A1 were loaded on HKUST-1@?-MnO2 catalyst,taking the place of several Cu and Mn to improve the toluene degradation efficiency.The results showed that HKUST-1@?-MnO2 framework didn't change after loaded with other metal ion.Meanwhile,the thermal stability and catalytic activity at low temperature was improved.
