Activated clay is a type of bleached clay made from clay(mainly bentonite),treated with inorganic acidification or other methods,and then washed with water and dried.The appearance of activated clay is white powder,and has good adsorption capacity.It can absorb colored substances and organic substances,mainly used in the decolorization and purification process of oils.When using activated clay to decolorize oils,two types of solid waste will be generated:one is deactivated waste clay after decolorization of oils;the other is activated clay with too small particle size.This thesis focuses on the resource utilization of two types of waste activated clay and application in oil purification.At the same time,XRD,N2 adsorption-desorption,XRF,ICP-OES,SEM,TG and Pyridine-FTIR were used to characterize and analyze the physical and chemical structures of the samples.Firstly,a simple method to synthesize NaY/analcime composites from waste clay without involving silicon-containing inorganic chemicals was developed.The effects of gel aging time,crystallization time,crystallization temperature and waste clay dosage were investigated.The samples synthesized were characterized by X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy,and N2 adsorption-desorption.The application of synthetic samples in the removal of olefins from aromatics and oil purification were also researched.In addition,the genesis and synthetic conditions of the analcime in the composites were discussed in detail.By solid-liquid separation of the mixture which produced in alkaline treatment conditions of the waste clay,the analcime and Y-type zeolite in composites can be synthesized separately.Secondly,agglomerated bulk activated clay was used as the precursor,which was stripped and dispersed under basic conditions,and the short-range ordered mesoporous SiO2 was introduced into the activated clay layers by the guiding condition of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide(CTAB).Activated clay and mesoporous activated clay were subjected to copper ion(Cu2+)modification by equal volume impregnation method.The static experiment showed that the conversion of 1-propanethiol in the raw material of the mesoporous activated clay was close to 100%when the copper loading was 25 wt%and activation temperature was 150?.Dynamic experiments show that the mesoporous activated clay has higher Cu2+carrying capacity and exhibits better thiol catalytic oxidation performance under the same Cu2+ loading.Studying the sweetening mechanism,it was found that propane thiol formed a high-boiling dipropyl disulfide under the catalysis of Cu2+,and realized the application purpose of sweetening.
