Ultra high molecular weight polyethylene(UHMWPE)fiber,as the most promising high-performance fiber,has great potential in cool products due to its excellent thermal conductivity.Human body perceives the temperature mainly through neurons,which can only reflect the difference between the temperature and the memory temperature.In the design of cool feeling fabric,it is mainly reflected in choosing the material with high thermal conductivity or increasing the contact area between the fabric and the skin as much as possible.Therefore,the following research work has been carried out:Firstly,using UHMWPE fiber with high thermal conductivity and viscose fiber withhigh moisture absorption and made into simple surface morphology and easy prepared horizontal knitted fabric.Through a series of processing procedures such as refining,intermediate setting,dyeing and cool finishing,Through the orthogonal test to explore the influence of fiber composition and finishing agent on the cool feeling performance of fabric,using fabric to evaluate various cool feeling indexes.Then,in order to grasp the correlation between the performance of each sample and using the coolness index as an important reference for the design of coolness fabric in the future,the performance related to the coolness index is selected for testing and analysis.In order to verify whether the sample has a cool feeling in actual wearing,the wearing scene of commuting in summer of Shanghai was designed for wearing experimentThe results show that:Firstly,the optimal combination obtained from different cold feeling evaluation indexes is different,but no matter what index,fiber composition has a significant impact(P<0.05)on it.which shows the effectiveness and necessity of using UHMWPE fiber.Then,in order to find out what kind of cool feeling evaluation index is more practical to wearing,the correlation analysis shows that there is a strong correlation(r=0.96)between the touch cool feeling and the test results of cool sense ability.And it is found that the contact coolness Qmax and the coolness sensory energy test both represent the coolness of the skin when the fabric touched at that moment,both of them are strongly related to the thermal conductivity(r>0.70).Selecting the fibers with high thermal conductivity is necessary.Both of them are closely related to the thickness display(r>0.90),so it is necessary to design thin fabrics.Lastly,in order to verify whether the sample has a cool feeling in actual wearing,the wearing scene of commuting in the summer of Shanghai was designed for wearing experiment.The results of wearing experiment of one tester showed that both the wearing cool sensory energy and the temperature results of clothing showed that the samples containing UHMWPE fiber had more advantages in cool feeling performance,which was consistent with the results of cool feeling index evaluation.
