With the rapid development of China’s automobile industry,the need of automobile wheel continues to increase,and the market of repairing wheel further expands.The special CNC lathe is used to repair the scratch and collision damage of the wheel hub of middle and upmarket cars,which is widely needed at the garage.The alloy wheel hub with intact body structure but worn,unsightly and slightly damaged on the face becomes visual aesthetic feeling and metal texture by this special lathe.In this project,the research work of the special CNC vertical lathe for repairing wheel surface is carried out,to meet the needs of enterprises.In this paper,the following research work is carried out:Based on the practical design experience of the factory and scientific calculation,the design of the special lathe for repairing wheel surface is completed,and the 3D model is established in SolidWorks.This study is based on the finite element analysis method,And ANSYS Workbench is a research tool.The 3D model is properly simplified into the element model and the attribute is set up.Then the dynamic and static characteristics of the lathe and its key components are analyzed,to verify the bearing safety of lathe structure.The modal test is Carried out by using dynamic signal acquisition system and instrument.The scheme,steps and precautions of modal test are introduced systematically.The first 4natural frequencies,damping ratio of the lathe are obtained from the test.The reliability of the modal test results is verified by curve fitting and MAC histogram.The accuracy of the finite element model is verified.Through the simulation analysis and modal test analysis,it is found that the casting bed has a large optimization space.Firstly,six kinds of weight reduction design schemes are provided for casting bed.The former five order natural frequency and bed weight are taken as evaluation criteria,and the weight reduction scheme is taken as the best selection.Then,the five important dimensions of the bed structure are multi-objective optimized to determine the best optimization scheme.
