This paper is about technical study on waste carrier recycling of spherical PP catalyst.MgC12 in normal carrier preparation process was replaced by the waste carrier when its ratio of Ethanol/Mg is 2.2?3.0mol/mol and the particle size of d(0.5)is 40?200?m.The study focuses on the feasibility of qualified carrier production,determination of technological parameters during the process control and the comparison of characterization data and industrial application data between normal spherical catalyst and the one produced by waste carrier.This paper mainly includes the following contents:1.Through X-ray diffraction pattern comparison between recycling carrier and carrier produced by normal process,we found obvious similar characteristic peak from different angles on the graph.It proves that carrier's basic crystal structure is not destroyed when waste carrier is melted again.The recycling of waste carrier is feasible.2.The best melting temperature of waste carrier is 120±10? and the it can be completely melted at the constant temperature for 5 hours.When the ratio of ethanol/Mg of waste carrier is under 2.42mol/mol,the qualified carrier can be produced after adding appropriate amount of ethanol.The particle size distribution is more concentrated.3.The particle size of the carrier could be adjusted by controlling the ratio of solid/liquid and white oil/silicone oil.The method also applied to preparation of the recycling carrier by the waste carrier.4.The performance indexes that Activity>5kgPP/g.Cat,Isotacticity?97.0%,MI=2?6g/10min and polymerization evaluation data of the PP spherical catalyst produced by the recycling carrier are equivalent to the normal one.The fluctuation range is within permitted limit.The device operates smoothly and the polymer products have excellent performance when the PP spherical catalyst produced by the recycling carrier is used in the production of SP179 that had high propylene content during the single loop process.The application of the waste carrier recycling technology improves the cleaner capacity of the equipment,lowers the cost of storage and disposal and also has obvious economic and environmental benefits.
