With the overall leap-forward improvement of modern industrial level and accelerating the pace of automation,the control systems and power supply methods of automation equipment are becoming increasingly complex.The traditional control line and power line connection method can no longer meet the precision requirements of the equipment.In order to solve the above problems,electrical connector have been invented.As a connection between the control system and the power supply system,the electrical connector can greatly improve the accuracy and reliability of the control system.At present,the work of welding electrical connectors and multi-core cables includes:1)Stripping the insulation on both ends of the multi-core cable until the metal core of the inner core is exposed;2)Detecting both sides of the multi-core cable,and put the corresponding core wires on the same wire number.3)Finally,the inner core wires arranged according to the wire number are sequentially welded with the solder cup with the same cup number as the current wire together.In summary,many other preparations are required to complete the automatic soldering between the electrical connector and the multi-core cable.The automatic welding of both electrical connectors and multi-core cables is done manually from beginning to end,resulted in low processing efficiency and high rejection rates.Therefore,the automatic welding of electrical connectors and multi-core cables plays a key role in the promotion and application of electrical connectors.The application of electrical connectors in China started late,and a large number of domestic electrical connectors in circulation on the market have the simple structure.No equipment has been found to automatically welding electrical connectors to multicore cables.Automatic welding equipment for circular distributed electrical connector and multi-core cable has great economic value and practical value.According to the field visits to the factory and the exchange of information with the operators,we can know that in the process of automatic welding of electrical connectors and multi-core cables,we analyze the technical difficulties that need to be overcome,including: 1)How to peel off the outer insulation and the inner core of the multi-core cable without damaging the metal core;2)How to accurately identify the two ends of the same inner core wire and put the same wire number on it;3)How to accurately locate the welding cup of the electrical connector to the welding position;4)How to achieve themutual conversion of the cable between various stations.This project aims to improve the automation of welding work between electrical connectors and multi-core cables,reduce labor investment,and increase the automation of welding work between electrical connectors and multi-core cables.This paper introduces the mechanical structure of automatic welding equipment for multi-core cables and circular electrical connectors,which can complete the work of stripping the insulation of multi-core cables,wire numbers and automatic welding.At the same time,relying on powerful image analysis and data calculation capabilities of MTALAB,we prepared and processed images of the electrical connector cross-sections.After processing the images and solving the deviation angle,the electrical connectors are accurately positioned to the welding position.Thus,a device for fully automatic welding of electrical connectors and multi-core cables is designed. |
