China is rich in shale gas resources and reserves rank first in the world.Therefore,shale gas development is a hot spot in China's current oil and gas exploration and development.Considering that common horizontal wells are used to produce shale gas,and the hybrid bit has a rock-breaking advantage over conventional PDC bits and roller cone bits during directional drilling,it can well solve the problem of deflection instability during directional drilling.Therefore,for the development of shale gas,a mixed bit is a better choice.This paper summarizes the research progress and existing problems of hybrid bit design at home and abroad,and carries out the work from theoretical research to the establishment of a three-dimensional model of hybrid bit to the simulation analysis of the model,and the optimization design of hybrid bit as follows:(1)The common roller cone bit and PDC bit were studied.Combining the cutting structure characteristics of the two,based on the basic design principles of the two bits,a threedimensional solid model of the hybrid bit developed for shale gas with the advantages of both cutting structures was established;(2)The strength simulation analysis and kinematics simulation analysis of the hybrid bit bit verify the rationality of the hybrid bit model design and the correctness of the derived geometric kinematic equation;(3)A new reference design drawing for cloth tooth design,that is,a tooth pit model drawing,is studied.And use C ++ language to carry out secondary development under NX10.0 environment to produce "tooth pit tool" plug-in,which can automatically and efficiently draw the pit model diagram,and guide the optimal design of the tooth layout of the hybrid bit.(4)It summarizes a set of design methods for hybrid bit bits from design,modeling,simulation,and design optimization and adjustment,so as to realize the differentiation and targeted design of hybrid bits.
