Today thermoplastic composites becomes the hot spot of research because it has the advantages of good weldability,recyclability,chemical resistance,high toughness,high impact resistance,high damage tolerance,easy repair,and can be processed in a short time.In the molding technology of thermoplastic composite materials,ATL is an additive manufacturing technology,which can effectively reduce the technical cost of composite materials compared to other molding technologies.It enables efficiently automated and digital manufacturing.Based on the self-developed thermoplastic composite automatic tape laying machine,the two-dimensional transient temperature field model of the glass fiber reinforced polypropylene prepreg automatic laying process was established by ANSYS.The correctness of this two-dimensional temperature field model is verified by experiments.Then the effects of three process parameters of heating-temperature,laying-speed and effective-heating-length on the bonding-point-temperature of the tape were studied by DOE simulation experiment.The safe-heating-temperature and the highest-placement-speed were given by the two-dimensional transient temperature field model.The DOE experiment was designed to study the factors affecting the warpage of the product during the laying process of the one-way single laminate on this basis.The factors were heating-temperature,the number of layer,mold-temperature,the interaction between pressure and the number of layer,the interaction between laying-speed and the number of layer.The process parameters were optimized to obtain the optimal combination of processing parameters,so that the warpage of the product was reduced to 0.596%.Next,based on the optimal processing parameters,the lamination angle of the glass fiber reinforced polypropylene laminate prepared by ATL was studied.The fitness function of the intensity ratio was constructed,and the adaptive genetic algorithm was used to optimize the design of the laying angle by MATLAB.The mechanical properties of the laminates before and after optimization were analyzed and verified by experiments and ABAQUS respectively.Finally,the rules of the laying angle were summarized.
