While modern science and technology promote the development of human economy and society,there are potential risks.Under this social background,modern chemical industry also produces risks and the risks exhibit characteristics of self-generation,non-computability,knowledge dependence,sociality and globality,which restricts the development of chemical engineering.From the perspective of risk society theory,this paper studies the reflectivity of chemical engineering,and seeks the mechanism and countermeasures to avoid risks and promote its development.The performance of chemical engineering's reflectivity is self-confrontation and self-reflection.The self-confrontation of chemical engineering refers to the negative effects brought by chemical engineering practice,which challenge the basis of its own development.It revolves around the risk of modern chemical industry,In terms of consciousness,it shows limited understanding of the risk of modern chemical industry,incomplete control of the risk of chemical industry in action,and in practical sense,the ethics of chemical industry practice is confined to the one-way degree of economic appeal.Self-reflection of chemical engineering refers to self-adjustment from intention and action in the face of self-confrontation of chemical engineering and liberation from self-confrontation.It involves knowledge reflection of chemical and chemical theory,institutionalized reflection of chemical technology and ethical reflection of chemical practice.This paper is divided into five chapters:Chapter 1,through literature review,puts forward research issues,and discusses the research content,methods and significance.Chapter 2,discus the essence and characteristic of chemical engineering reflection.Chapters 3 and 4 discuss the self-confrontation and self-reflection of chemical engineering.Chapter 5,taking PX project events as an example,discusses the self-confrontation and self-reflection of PX project events.Reflective transformation of chemical engineering is the inevitable result of the development of chemical engineering up to now.In the face of its own risks,chemical engineering is constantly self-adjusting and self-reflecting,and moving towards a new and ideal industrial system.
