Silicone rubber is widely used in the medical industry,due to its good biocompatibility,excellent mechanical properties,and low toxicity,no activity to biological tissue.However,it brings twice pain to the patient,because the strong hydrophobicity of silicone rubber is easy to cause bacterial adhesion,and easy to cause friction when contacting human tissues.Through hydrophilic and antimicrobial modification of silicone rubber,central venous catheter(PICC)is expected to be prepared to solve the problems of catheterization,extubation pain and bacterial infection.In this study,hydroxyethyl methacrylate(HEMA)and N-vinylpyrrolidone(NVP)were used to improve the hydrophilicity by constructing a semi-interpenetrating structure with silicone rubber;hyaluronic acid methacrylate(HAMA),3-(2-methacryloyloxyethyldimethylamino)propanesulfonate(DMAPS)is grafted on the surface of silicone rubber by vinyl-open double bond polymerization to improve its hydrophilicity;bromohexane quaternization the quaternary ammonium salt(QA)of 6 carbons synthesized by dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate is grafted on the surface of the silicone rubber to impart antibacterial properties.Conclusion as below:(1)Benzophenone and benzoin dimethyl ether are simultaneously used as photoinitiators,and the transmittance and haze performance of the surface grafted PDMAPS of silicone rubber is better than that of benzophenone or benzoin alone;(2)NVP modified silicone rubber improved the water contact angle to 20.8°;HEMA modified silicone rubber improved the water contact angle to 52.2°.(3)The surface of the silicone rubber was grafted with PHAMA,and the surface contact angle was found to drop to 68.7°.The surface of the silicone rubber was grafted with PDMAPS and the water contact angle was 22.4°.(4)PQA grafted on the surface of silicone rubber has good antibacterial properties against staphylococcus aureus and escherichia coli.(5)DMAPS and QA random copolymerization grafted on the surface of silicone rubber,the static water contact angle becomes 21.8°,which has good antibacterial effect on staphylococcus aureus and escherichia coli,and the adhesion bacteria are reduced and modified.The latter material can inhibit the formation of biofilm;simulated dynamic cycling,after 48 h of flow broth study,the amount of bacteria adhering to the modified material was reduced and resisted the majority of bacteria remaining.
