For a long time,oil industry is a highly profitable industry.Executives in the industry can also get higher pay.However,with the continuous acceleration of the reform of the central enterprises and the implementation of the reform measures of the compensation system of the central enterprises,the executive pay of the petroleum industry company has been greatly adjusted,such as the senior executives who have paid more than millions of the annual salary of PetroChina and Sinopec,and the salary reduction is up to 600 thousand yuan.Such a big salary change will have an impact on the job enthusiasm of these executives,and it also raises questions about how executives' pay in the oil industry is more reasonable.Therefore,this study,starting from the phenomenon of significant changes in executive compensation in China's oil industry in recent years,explores the influencing factors of executive compensation in the listed companies of petroleum industry.From three aspects of company factors and oil industry,this study analyzes the impact of eleven factors on the executive compensation of Listed Companies in China's petroleum industry,puts forward related hypotheses.Finally,we select 213 research samples from 2011-2016 years' oil companies listed on Shanghai and Shenzhen stock markets,and test the hypotheses by multivariate hierarchical regression analysis.The results show that the company factors of the rate of return on net assets,earnings,total assets,total assets growth rate,asset liability ratio and the listed years can have a positive impact on oil enterprise executive compensation of listed companies;the average value of regional factors in the petroleum enterprise area GDP,the population and the oil industry can the positive effects of executive compensation in petroleum enterprises listed companies.From two aspects of the company level and the oil industry level,this study puts forward the policy suggestions for the executive compensation of the listed companies in China's petroleum industry.
