With the continuous exploitation of oil resources and the consumption of easily exploited oil reservoirs, the exploitation of resources in low permeability reservoirs is becoming more and more important.Because of the low permeability,it is necessary to implement production measures to enhance oil recovery in low permeability oilfield. In recent years, the electrical explosion of wire(EEW)has been used in the petroleum industry to improve oil recovery because it can generate a controllable, stable and successive shock wave.In order to make theoretical guidance for designing the tool of electrical explosion of wire, the method of numerical simulation is used in this paper. The treatment process of the reservoir by using the tool is studied in the vertical well with two completion methods, which are perforation completion and open hole completion. The model size and material parameters are determined through theoretical analysis. The explosion metal wire was equivalent to TNT.In view of different oil well conditions, the physical model was established with ANSYS/Autodyn software, and numerical simulation was conducted. In the case of single explosion and continuous explosion, the propagation rule of shock wave, fracture process, mechanism of damage and the effect of plugging removal in the oil well are analyzed. The following conclusions can be obtained through these research. The shock wave attenuates greatly through the casing pipe and cement sheath, but the shock wave propagating in perforation hole can keep higher pressure, and the continuous explosion will cause cumulative damage to the combination. The parameters of rock material can influence the propagation process of shock wave and the effect of plugging removal of perforation by the electric explosion is also obvious. In the open hole completion model, the electric explosion has a good effect on the fracture of rock and the continuousexplosion will expand the crack.
