This study is mainly focusing on the characteristics of oil reservoir of Permian Xiawuerhe Formaiton in the No.8 Block of the Karamay Oilfield that was occupied by ground buildings.The reservoir in the study area is characterized by low porosity,ultra-low permeability,higher thickness of reservoir bed,low recovery,high potential of residue oil reserves and is dominated by type III reservoir.Due to the ground buildings of No.81 combination station and development process of early stage,it is very difficult to produce the residue oil by vertical boreholes.It needs to change the development method to increase the degree of producing reserves.In order to increase the recovery and economic benefit,this disseration conducts reseach on the characterizing the residue oil reserves and hozirontal well optimization.The characteristics of fracture morphology and distribution of the Permian Xiawuerhe Formation was described by the neighboring imaging logging datas and the conventional well logging fracture interpretation model.In the study area,high-angle fractures with an inclination of approximately 90 ゜ which is tectonic origin are developed,and the trend is near the east-west direction.The proportion of fracture thickness in the study area is 20-40%,which is lower than the main area.According to the interpretation of flooding logging,water flooding patterns and fracture characteristics,the distribution characteristics of water zone flooded in the study area are described.The characteristics of fracture in the study area have a great influence on the waterflooding development.The water zone flooded formed during waterflooding is controlled by the morphological characteristics of the fracture and is distributed in strips.Through well logging data,seismic data and dynamic production data of old wells,the distribution characteristics of the Xiawuerhe Formation in the study area are comprehensively described.It develops the Lower Urho Formation reservoir in the study area.Based on the work of the distribution characteristics of oil reservoir and the characteristics of the water zone flooded,the remaining oil distribution characteristics is determined,and the optimization of horizontal well parameters suitable for oil layer development in the study area is completed.In this paper,a new understanding of the distribution of oil reservoir and water zone flooded in the study area and the optimization of horizontal wells based on the description of water zone flooded were obtained.This will provide a new way of exploitment of ultra-low permeability reservoirs in the No.8 district.
