Automotive panel is the main part of the automobile body.The shape and structure are complex,and the requirements for appearance and precision are high.Therefore,the quality of automotive panel die is particularly important.Once the interference and conflicts of the parts in the mold are not discovered in time,affects the delivery time of the mold,or even destroys the entire production line.At present,most companies use numerical simulation software to implement motion simulation and dynamic interference inspection.These softwares effectively improve the efficiency and accuracy of mold quality inspection.However,the file format is still incompatible during use,and the drawings need to be imported and exported repeatedly,special institutions are not allowed,not only causes a lot of repetitive work,but also has high requirements for engineers,which has become a major problem that plagues mold design companies.In view of the shortcomings in the existing dynamic interference checking mechanism,combined with the needs of a mold company in Shanghai in the design and testing of the cover mold.This paper analyzes the application status of automotive panels and motion simulation,and develops a dynamic interference inspection system for automotive panel dies based on NX motion simulation was developed.This paper presents the idea of templating.Considering the structural characteristics,functional characteristics and motion characteristics of the automotive panel die.the mold parts are divided into combination templates of various mechanisms.It mainly includes upper mechanism,lower mechanism,pressing mechanism,slide mechanism,and lifting mechanism.Using the template definition method,the user can quickly define the motion mechanism by simply selecting the type of the mold and filling in a small number of stroke parameters,avoiding the cumbersome operation in the general motion simulation software and reducing the technical requirements for the designer.The system creates a file and motion organization naming convention,and names the links,motion pairs and motion drive functions created by the system according to a uniform naming convention.The process of traversing and searching each object in the background is more accurate and efficient,realizing rapid traversal and unified management of components.The system also establishes a parameter management system to achieve rapid driving of the motion mechanism and travel.Solve the problem of system parameter confusion and improve the intelligence of the system.Finally,a motion simulation scheme is established,and a method of automatically creating a link and a motion pair is proposed.From the perspective of dynamics,the motion characteristics of each motion mechanism are analyzed,and then the corresponding motion function template is calculated.The user can use the program by simply setting the motion stroke attribute.the system automatically identify the motion mechanism,and generate the linkage,motion function and motion pair required for motion,then use the ADAMS solver to solve the calculation.System generate animation and motion stroke related data,and detect possible interference in motion in real time.The system is developed using the NX OPEN API and runs under the NX 9.0 platform.It can realize the motion simulation and dynamic interference check of the automotive panel die by quickly defining the motion stroke.The system has been widely used in a mold company in Shanghai,which effectively simplifies the motion interference inspection operation,and improves the design efficiency.This system is recognized by the enterprise.
