The floating oil hose is a new type of bonded composite flexible pipe,which is mainly used for offshore oil and gas transportation.Its pipe body contains a multi-layer structure and a variety of composition materials,and its mechanical properties are complex。In practical applications,the pipe body will cause radical pressure loads due to stacking,coiling,and installing situations.It may cause deformation or even structural failure of the pipe section sometimes,Therefore,it is necessary to make an in-depth study of the performance and stability of the pipe under radical pressure load.For the reinforcement layer in the pipe body,the three-dimensional elastic engineering constants are obtained based on the series-parallel model method using the related theory of material mechanics.Combining the geometrical equations and the equilibrium equations of the elastic body in the three-dimensional space,the mechanical response of any layer of the tube is solved.On the other hand,using ABAQUS software to build a partial model of the hose,accurately simulated the bonding characteristics between the layers and the mosaic characteristics of the spiral reinforcement.The analytical method and the finite element method were used to solve the mechanical response of the hose under uniform internal pressure.The results were compared and the causes of error were analyzed to verify the rationality of the FEM.On the basis of the previous finite element model construction method and standard requirements,the radical pressure model of the hose was accurately built.The structural utilization rate is used to characterize the use of structural potential.And then checked the utilization value of each layer of material when the pipe body bears lateral pressure load.Finally,the influence of geometric parameters of the spiral reinforcement on the lateral pressure stability of the pipe was quantitatively studied.The research results can provide some guidance for the design and application of hoses.
