In micro-milling precision machining,the overall radial stiffness of the micro-milling cutter is low due to the small size of the tool.Small changes during high-speed cutting can easily cause the vibration of the tool,which gradually destroys the cutting stability and causes certain damage to the workpiece.Micro-milling technology is a machining technology for small-precision two-dimensional or three-dimensional parts.The vibration of micro-milling has a great influence on the forming and precision of precision parts,so the control of tool vibration is very necessary.However,in micro-milling,due to the small size and other factors and the influence of the blunt radius,micro-milling has been significantly different from conventional milling,both in the geometry of the tool and in the cutting process.Great changes,so the impact of small dimensions must be considered while studying the vibration of the tool in micro-milling.Through the understanding of the research status of micro-milling at home and abroad,as well as the research of micro-milling mechanism and vibration cutting,combined with the relevant theory,the theoretical method of reducing tool vibration is proposed and realized by simulation analysis.In this paper,the main factors affecting the vibration of micro-milling tools are studied,and the strategy of using auxiliary vibration to reduce tool vibration is proposed.The effect of the size effect and minimum cutting thickness of the micro-milling process is considered.Specific research content:1)The theory of vibration micro-milling is expounded,especially the theory and application characteristics of ultrasonic vibration micro-milling.It is proposed to apply auxiliary vibration to the tool to reduce the vibration of the tool.2)In the simulation experiment of vibration micro-milling with ABAQUS finite element software,three cases of different amplitudes,different frequencies,amplitudes and frequencies of auxiliary vibrations were analyzed.When the frequency is constant and the amplitude is constant,the variation of the maximum equivalent stress at different amplitudes and frequencies and the stress at different amplitude frequencies are studied.The experiment proves that the maximum stress decreases with the increase of the amplitude frequency.It has also been verified that vibration can improve cutting forces.3)The micro-milling dynamic cutting simulation model was established by SIMULINK.The effects of spindle speed,axial cutting depth and feed per tooth and the amplitude and frequency of auxiliary vibration on the tool vibration were studied in the simulation experiment.The maximum impact of tool vibration and the application of auxiliary vibration to the tool can reduce tool vibration and explain the strategy for controlling tool vibration.
