Abstract/Summary:
In recent years,the multi-function of hydrogels is beyond the reach of other materials.It has high swelling,mechanical properties and flexibility.It is widely used in medical and health,agricultural production,industrial wastewater and other fields.Therefore,two kinds of highly performance hydrogels were prepared by different materials and nano-Zinc Oxide,which the related properties of composite hydrogel were tested.With chitosan and sodium alginate as materials,which have excellent biocompatibility,the water-soluble monomer acrylic acid was grafted and copolymerized by chemical reaction,and multifunctional hydrogels were prepared by metal oxide nano-zinc oxide.The products were characterized by SEM,TEM and FTIR and swelling,antibacterial and heavy metal Pb(II)adsorption properties of the products were tested.Firstly,zinc oxide nanowires were prepared by hydrothermal method.Free radical graft copolymerization of chitosan and acrylic acid was carried out with cross-linking agent,and zinc oxide nanowires were coated in three-dimensional network structure to prepare composite hydrogels.The uniform distribution of zinc oxide nanowires in the three-dimensional network structure is conducive to enhancing the crosslinking degree of hydrogels and improving the mechanical properties.The results of water absorption test and antimicrobial test showed that the addition of zinc oxide nanowires improved the water absorption rate and salt tolerance of the composite hydrogels,and was beneficial to the antimicrobial properties of the hydrogels against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus.Secondly,snow-like nano zinc oxide with hierarchical structure was prepared by hydrothermal method.After ultrasonic dispersion,it was coated on a sodium alginate-acrylic acid structure by free radical graft copolymerization to prepare a sodium alginate acrylic acid graft copolymerized snow-like nano zinc oxide composite hydrogel.The adsorption capacity of heavy metal Pb(II)showed that the adsorption performance of Pb(II)increased with the increase of snow-like nano zinc oxide.It also has obvious antimicrobial effect on Escherichia coli.The results showed that the two hydrogels exhibited excellent properties,such as strong antimicrobial activity,swelling and heavy metal adsorption capacity.Among them,chitosan-co-acrylic acid/ zinc oxide nanowires nano-composite hydrogel absorbs 1 000 g/g of deionized water and inhibits more than 99% of E.coli.For sodium alginate-co-acrylic acid/ snow-like nano zinc oxide composite hydrogel,the adsorption capacity of the composite hydrogel is about 200 mg/g when the addition amount of nano-snow-like zinc oxide is 1% of the monomer content,and the antimicrobial capacity of the composite hydrogel is about 99%.
