To overcome the severe loss of slurry and extra retarding,that occurred when conventional cementing applied to some exceptional wells,the reverse circulation cementing technology was brought forward and had been tested in the field with great success.However,there are still many challenges that presented in field to reverse circulation cementing.One of the most serious problem was that the slurry would squeezed into the interior of the casing,owing to the inadequateness of standard control equipment.This paper aimed at the design of a brand new equipment,which should make the reverse circulation cementing under control.The efficiency of the displacement in the annulus,at reverse circulation circumstance,was studied using ANSYS FLUENT.A safety control equipment was designed in this paper that could make sure the reverse circulation cementing safe and reliable.The operating principle,the detailed components,and the construction of the safety controlling equipment was designed.The parts drawings and assembly drawing were exported by CAD.The design also concluded the operating process of the equipment.For the feasibility test of the safety control equipment,the anti-collapse performance,the anti-explosion performance,and the fatigue strength of the spring was calculated.The pressure loss and the anti-erosion performance,when slurry pass through the safety control equipment,was calculated using ANSYS FLUENT.The results proved that the safety control equipment for reverse circulation cementing was tested approval,on the premise of ensuring the efficiency of the displacement and the safety of the formation.The design of this innovative safety control equipment,would reduce the cost of reverse circulation cementing,and improve the safety of the reverse circulation cementing,which showed a perfect application in field.
