Silica glass is utilized in many fields because of its excellent properties.However,ordinary method to fabricate bulk silica glass needs high temperature?above 1600°C?to melt the material so low energy process is necessary.On this research,we fabricated silica glass by powder sintering method.This method doesn't have melting process so it needs relatively low temperature.At first,we fabricate SiO2-PVA?polyvinyl alcohol?nanocomposite as a glass precursor.Then,we sintered it to fabricate silica glass.By the method,we could fabricate silica glass at 1200°C.The properties of the fabricated silica glass were similar to those of commercial silica glass.
