Study On Peony Extract In Anti-aging Skincare Cosmeceuticals

With the economic globalization,industrial 4.0,rapid development of e-commerce,consumer demand for cosmetics has been significantly increased.Until 2015,Fast Moving Consumer Goods(FMCG)industry shows about 120 billion RMB in China market,which growth rate was 3.5% in 2015.Total skincare was about 48.5 billion RMB.Whole nation has an increasing demand for good skincare cosmetics.Meanwhile,consumers are becoming more and more strict to products.Comparing to previously long term effect ones,they prefer to short term effect products.Not only for single effiency,but also multi-function effiency products are appreciated to solve their problems such as dark spot,large pores,dull skin and so on.Our consumers are changing from single function skincare products to multi-function,professional and convenience products.In order to meet requirements of current consumer demands,cosmetic companies have to focus more on consumers,study hard on consumers,to launch more products with good consumer experience.For R&D researchers,they should research and develop more innovation product with breakthrough technologies to solve consumers' skin problems and improve their skins.We screened and identified the active ingredients of paeonia lactiflora extract.After developed skincare cosmeceutical base formulation by orthogonal experiment method,we co-associated peony extract,hydroxyethylpiperazine ethane sulfonic acid and ascorbic acid glucoside to deliver a better anti-aging and whitening benefits.We also validated of these three actives compatibility and their association in the skincare cosmeceutical base formulation by both orthogonal experiment method and qualitative/quantitative analysis method.We confirmed of formulation stability,effiency,safety and sensory through two month stability test and consumer evalution test.Finally,we researched and developed an anti-aging,whitening,low irritation natural cosmeceutical skincare product through through the synergistic effect of peony extract,hydroxyethylpiperazine ethane sulfonic acid and ascorbic acid glucoside to meet requirements of our Asia consumers.
