In-Mold Decoration technology is a surface decoration technology of printing film thermoforming and then injection molding,referred to as IMD technology.In order to improve the molding quality of IMD film,it is necessary to study the influence of various process parameters on IMD forming performance.At present,the research methods of IMD film forming performance are limited,while the research of multidirectional stretching on IMD film forming is more meaningful.The study of performance of IMD is mostly about temperature parameter,while the blank holder force and tensile rate have obvious influence on the forming performance of IMD film.For the test equipment used now,the process parameters can not be fully explored.Therefore,it is necessary to design an IMD multidirectional tensile test equipment to measure the influence of various process parameters on the IMD film forming.The purpose of this paper is to design an IMD multidirectional tensile test system,which can measure the effects of temperature,blank holder force and stretching rate on the multiaxial stretching properties of IMD films.The main work of this paper includes:(1)By studying the process parameters and testing process requirements of IMD film multidirectional tensile test,the overall design of IMD film multidirectional tensile test system is designed.Modular design of the overall scheme is carried out,and the working mode and structural principle of each module are researched and designed.(2)The clamping mechanism of the blank holder module was designed.The deformation analysis of the blank holder module was carried out with ABAQUS software.The blank holder mold,capable of uniformly pressing the IMD film,was designed by analyzing the simulation results.It is verified that the rack stiffness and strength meet the design requirements with ABAQUS software.A hydraulic servo system is designed to provide controllable blank holder force.(3)The structure principle of the heating module is designed,and the theoretical calculation is described.The simulation and design of the heating and cooling scheme of IMD film during the multi-directional tensile test is completed by using FloEFD software,and the specific structure scheme of the heating module is designed according to the process plan.The feasibility of the specific structural scheme and the heating uniformity of the IMD film are verified by FloEFD software.(4)According to the demand analysis of the control system,the overall scheme of the control system is designed.The reasonable hardware is used to complete the overall design of the electrical system.The automatic and manual program design of IMD film multidirectional tensile test is carried out.The human-computer interface of the test system is designed.(5)Using the functional characteristics of the electronic universal testing machine,the IMD film multidirectional tensile test system is integrated,and the test of the prototype is completed.Through the test and commissioning of the prototype,it is proved that the experimental system has good stability,good edge pressing uniformity and good uniformity of IMD film heating.The system can be applied to the multidirectional tensile test of IMD film.The IMD film multidirectional tensile test system can measure the influence of three parameters including temperature,edge force and tensile rate on the tensile properties of different IMD films,and can also measure the molding performance of different IMD films.To quantitatively analyze the molding performance of IMD films.The test system designed in this paper has the features of comprehensive function and high degree of automation.This paper designed and manufactured a test environment box that can rapidly heat up,save energy,and focus on IMD film.Using the working characteristics of the electronic universal testing machine,integrated innovation is a functional module designed in this paper.The flexible die and flange die which can press the IMD film uniformly are designed.
