Assembly sequence planning and assembly resource selection are the major contents of design for assembly.However,the assembly entity relationship is too confused that impact the assembly sequence planning and assembly resource matching which increase the difficulty of assembly and the cost of assembly,due to lacking of the analysis of assembly entity relationship.To solve the above problems,assembly affordance model is proposed based on the theory of affordance that analyze the affordance interaction between assembly resource and assembly entities.The model is implemented in the process of the design for assembly.In order to choose the good assembly sequence and optimum assembly resource for the product,making further efforts to reduce the assembly cost and improve the efficiency of assembly.A prototype system is developed for the design for assembly analysis.The main research work is as follows:(1)Research that related to affordance and design for assembly is reviewed.Based on the theory of affordance,the assembly entity relationship is divided into functional relationship and non-functional relationship.The assembly entity relationship is analyzed in assembly requirement and influence that determined the influence of entity relationship.The assembly affordance model is proposed by the assembly relationship analysis.Moreover,the building method of the model is introduced.The transmission system of cutting a section of the coal winning machine is applied to demonstrate the effectiveness of the assembly affordance model.(2)Build on the affordance of the assembly sequence planning.The assembly sequence planning is divided into part level and product level.According to the feature of the assembly affordance choose a tolerable assembly sequence.From the product level of evaluate indicator,that use the multi-objective analytic hierarchy process determine index weight value and calculate the optimal assembly sequence.(3)Build on the affordance of the assembly resource selection.The process of assembly is separated into three stages according to the assembly demand analysis.For each stage,assembly resource that satisfy the assembly requirements is matched by assembly demand affordance.On this basis,the impact of assembly entity relationship is analyzed by using the assembly additional affordance model.Resource is judged under the constraints of design for assembly rule.The resource that positively affected is selected and negatively affected is eliminated,and selects the best of assembly resource.(4)The assembly sequence and assembly resource are analyzed by the assembly affordance model,the auxiliary solution system of the design for assembly is improved.And the product examples of the transmission system of cutting a section of the coal winning machine indicated that the system is effective and feasible.
