This article mainly presents how the gongfu cha has transformed from a regional practice to one with a national identity. In this process, gongfu cha began to move from the daily practice in Chaozhou to the stage performance, showing the transformation from "technique" to "art".This shift is inseparable from the flow of gongfu cha between Chaozhou,Taiwan and the mainland of China. However, although Taiwanese tea ceremony originated from Chaozhou's gongfu cha and is highly respected by many tea people and tourists in mainland China,Chaozhou ‘s local people did not agree with it,but instead developed Chaozhou gongfu cha ceremony. The factors that transform gongfu cha from “technology” to“art” in Chaozhou include the promotion of local government, the role of civil organizations, the influence of intangible cultural heritage sport and masters, the emergence of tea houses in Chaozhou, the training institutions of tea ceremony and the efforts of tea artists.Work hard and so on.The biggest significance of realizing the transformation from "technology" to "art" is to enable gongfu cha to get out of Chaozhou and attract more people to go to Chaozhou to travel,to consume in tea house, and to purchase Chaozhou's single-cluster tea and tea set, etc.,so that Chaozhou's people can get more real benefits. The difference between Taiwanese tea ceremony and Chaozhou gongfu cha ceremony is not obvious. However, behind this subtle difference,it is actually the unique sensory memory and experience formed by Chaozhou's people in the long-term historical process. These sensory memories and experiences are the local knowledge of Chaozhou's people. These local knowledge influences Chaozhou's people's cognition of tea in the subtle influence, and the cognition of the world explains the unique regional culture of Chaozhou.
