With the great development of aircraft industry,Ti alloy is widely used in the manufacture of aircraft engines and aircraft structure material due to its characteristics of low density,high strength/weight ratio,corrosion resistance,and stable performance.We need to do the high sensitivity test because key Ti alloy material on the aircraft products has strict performance requirements and more and more higher quality requirements.In the current stage,ultrasonic test is the only way to inspect the large size Ti alloy bars.However,conventional ultrasonic test is being confronted with the difficulty of low test sensitivity,high noise and low signal to noise ratio.Using ultrasonic multizone test technology is one way to solve this problem.This paper mainly studies using 0.4 mm flat-bottom hole test sensitivity to complete the test requirement of Ti alloy bars with diameter 250 mm.First design the technical parameter of multizone probe,then design the testing program to verify whether this parameter meet the design requirements or not.Second improve the attenuation compensation proposal based on ultrasonic C-scan image parameter,which makes settings of test sensitivity more rational.Finally analysis possible influence factors of ultrasonic multizone test to ensure test result accurate and reliable.Ultrasonic multizone test technology can meet the large size Ti alloy's high sensitivity test requirements.multizone probe parameters need to be redesigned for larger size tested bars.
