| Because of the increasingly fierce market competition,enterprises need to increase benefits and reduce cost to enhancing their competitiveness.One of the most important benefits source is logistics.And a good workshop layout is definite such a important way for manufacturing enterprise.The thesis comes from the issue of candy production & packing workshop in PVM.For improving efficiency and reducing cost,we find the issue of logistic in workshop,analysis and workout corrective actions.This thesis focused on research of optimizing the layout.First of all,introduce some facilities layout theoretical knowledge and methods.Base on the actual situation of PVM,I chose SLP Theory & System Simulation method to study the workshop layout optimization.Second,collect the operation data of workshop,analysis the logistic situation using SLP method.Divide operation unit and analysis their relationship of logistic and non-logistic.Then,get the comprehensive relation chart.Depend on the actual situation and limited conditions of workshop;work out two improvement layout plan.Third,introduce system simulation theory and methods.Base on the normal steps of system simulation,we made some simplifications & assumptions for the workshop.Then we define the system elements and design the detail by using simulation software “WITNESS”.After verification the model,we check out the output data of all of layout methods,we find out the best practices which reduce the time of material handing about 28%.At last,base on the facility layout and simulation,we also increase the capacity of mono packing machine 2.3%,reduce average inventory of WIP 3.8% and optimized the material handing headcount from 4 persons to 2 persons.This paper is expected to bring some inspirations to other manufacturing-oriented companies. |
