Research And Application Practice Of Creation Thought Reflected In Ancient Chinese Combs

Creational thought refers to the design thought embodied in the creational process.As a necessary tool in daily life,comb has accompanied people through a long history and witnessed the change of dynasties.economic rise and fall,cultural changes and social succession.The deep research on the design method and thinking mode of the creation of comb in ancient China is helpful for us to investigate the cause of the comb modeling,structure,process and other changes from different aspects.This paper interprets the history of comb,analyzes the positive role of traditional creationism in comb design,and tries to apply the combination of traditional creationism and modern technology.Let the "old" thought essence of creation for the modern traditional comb products bring new creative ideas,to better the inheritance of Chinese traditional art and culture alive.Taking ancient Chinese combs as the research object,the article makes a comprehensive analysis from the perspective of the practical-oriented comb and the decoration-oriented combing function and the rhythm of art form.It summarizes the creational thought of "material creation","practical benefit for the people","jade worship","unity of function and aesthetics" embodied in ancient Chinese combs.Based on the understanding of the ancient Chinese comb-making ideas,in response to the current decline in the traditional form of comb market share,a set of comb gift boxes with four handmade traditional wooden combs was designed and produced,including a comb for combing,a comb for massage,and two combs for hair accessories.The four combs are made of plum,chrysanthemum,bamboo and orchid as decorative patterns.The work is dominated by traditional creation ideas,with modern design and craftsmanship,combining practicality and art.Looking forward to the art of long-lost combing,returning to people’s lives,it will be conducive to the development of traditional combs,and will benefit the Chinese nation’s creation thoughts and the Chinese culture behind it.
