In this thesis,polyvinyl chloride thermoplastic elastomer(PVC TPE)was prepared by melt blending method using PVC as the matrix material.The effects of basic compounding factors,organic small molecular resins and polymer on the basic mechanical properties,dynamic mechanical properties and heat-resistant air aging properties of PVC TPE were studied.The purpose of this study was to prepare a highly damping PVC TPE and explore ways to increase the damping factor(tan?)and broaden the effective damping temperature range(tan? > 0.3).In the first part of the thesis,the research on the damping properties of PVC TPE by plasticizer,inorganic filler and polymerization degree were studied.The results show that The physical properties of DOP,DOTP,TOTM and polyester plasticizers/PVC TPE have little difference.and the properties changes before and after aging are not significant.When the amount of plasticizer was the same,the maximum value of the damping factor(tan?max)of PVC TPE with polyester system was significantly higher than other three plasticizing system and the damping property of TPE was best.As the amount of polyester increased,the tan?max of PVC TPE increased gradually,and the peak temperature of the damping factor of PVC TPE decreased.Among the four inorganic fillers,mica powder and light Ca CO3/PVC TPE had higher tan?max values and better damping performance.When the amount of light Ca CO3 is low,the damping performance of PVC TPE can be improved,but when the amount is more than 15 parts,the damping performance of PVC TPE decreased.The degree of polymerization of PVC increased,the overall physical properties of PVC TPE became better,and the damping performance decreased.In the second part of the thesis,the damping properties of PVC TPE were improved by adding organic small molecules.The effects of phenolic resin,petroleum resin and terpene resin on the performance of PVC TPE were studied.It can be concluded that phenolic resin,petroleum resin and terpene resin have little effect on the physical and mechanical properties of PVC TPE,and the heat-resistant air properties of phenolic resin/PVC TPE were better.With the increase of the dosage of phenolic resin,the peak temperature of tan? obviously shifted to high temperature,up to 34.20 °C,and the tan? of PVC TPE increased obviously above room temperature,the effective damping temperature range was widened,and the damping performance became better.The addition of petroleum resin gradually increased the tan?max value of PVC TPE,up to 0.81.However,terpene resins have little effect on the damping properties of PVC TPE.In terms of damping performance,phenolic resin and petroleum resin could be used as a damping performance modifier to improve damping properties;The addition of the PVC TPE damping performance is not obvious.In the third part of the thesis,TPE was prepared by blending nitrile rubber(NBR),polyurethane elastomer(TPU)and ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer(EVA)with PVC respectively to study the effect of different polymer dosage on the performance of PVC TPE.Both powdered P83 and bulk NBR3305 could improve the damping properties of PVC TPE to some extent.When the NBR dosage were 10 parts,the tan?max value of PVC TPE reached to 0.79;and the effective damping temperature range was widened.Both TPUs with different hardness decreased the damping properties of TPU/PVC TPE slightly.EVA did not improve the damping properties of PVC TPE at room temperature.Comparing the effects of NBR,TPU and EVA on the damping properties of PVC TPE,the tan?max values of the two TPU/PVC TPEs were relatively the largest;the tan? peak temperature of EVA/PVC TPE was the highest,the highest is 20.12 °C;two NBR/PVC The TPE has the widest effective damping temperature range of up to 55.58 °C.In practical applications,we can prepare PVC-based high-damping TPE according to the actual application requirements of damping for selecting the appropriate polymer type and dosage.
