The silicone resin prepared by the sol-gel method has many advantages such as low brittleness and porosity,flexibility and elasticity,high hydrolytic and thermal stability,thus can be used as a matrix for different functional molecules or nanomaterials.Gold nanoparticles have great application potential in the field of nonlinear optics due to their ultra-fast optical response speed and adjustability of longitudinal surface plasmon resonance?LSPR?of gold nanorods.Therefore,using a simple solution blending method,the two materials can be combined,and it is highly probable that the nanocomposite can be applied in tunable laser protection field.The main contents are given as follow:1.Silicone resin was prepared by hydrolysis copolycondensation reaction of methyltriethoxysilane with different amounts of silicon source compound.The effects of water quantity,solvent usage,pH value,reaction temperature and different silicon source compounds on the silicone resin were investigated and reaction conditions were determined.After that,the problem of cracking and bubbles encountered after the silicone resin is cured is effectively solved.2.Seed growth method was adopted to prepare gold nanorods.By controlling the amount of silver nitrate and seeds,gold nanorods with different aspect ratios having LSPR from 590 nm to 810 nm were prepared.Using the modified St?ber method,the surface of the prepared gold nanoparticles was subjected to silanol functionalization treatment,and then the ethyl orthosilicate underwent cohydrolysis and condensation reaction under pH=9-10,thereby Au@SiO2 particles with core-shell structure were prepared.The effects of amounts of ethyl orthosilicate and dropping method on the core-shell structure of gold nanorods were explored.3.The modified gold nanorods and the silicone resin prepolymer are uniformly mixed by a simple solution blending method,and further cured to obtain a gold nanorod/silicone resin composite coating material.The nonlinear optical properties of composites to 5.0 ns laser pulse with a wavelength of 532 nm and a repetition rate of10 Hz were investigated.The phase interfacial changes and photothermal stability of the composites due to the photo-thermal effect of gold nanoparticles were investigated.The results show that the gold nanorod/silicone resin composite coating material retains the optical limiting properties of gold nanorods and exhibits good nonlinear optical properties and thermal stability.
