Ring spinning is the main short fiber yarn forming method at present.It has a wide variety of adaptability and can spin many yarn counts.,but the yarn hairiness has always been a problem.More yarn hairiness will affect the subsequent weaving process and results in a lower quality grade of the fabric.In order to reduce the yarn hairiness,this project has established a "liquid film spinning" spinning method and developed a liquid film spinning device.The method refers to adding a liquid film spinning device between the front roller jaws and the yarn guiding hook on the ring spinning machine,and a liquid bead is always suspended at the end of the device.The yarn output from the front roller is pierced from the middle of the liquid bead,because the beads and the yarn do not wet,a liquid film hole is formed inside the bead.During this process,the liquid film covering the hairiness will press the hairiness onto the main yarn due to the contraction effect of surface tension,thus having the opportunity to participate in the twisting and torsion of the main fiber to achieve the effect of hairiness reduction.In this paper,the yarn forming mechanism of liquid film spinning is studied theoretically.Then,the liquid film spinning yarn is compared with the ring spinning yarn.Finally,the influence of the liquid film spinning process on the yarn hairiness is studied.Through measuring the contact Angle,introducing tracer fiber,microscopic observation and other characterization methods to study the liquid film spinning yarn,the study found that the contact Angle between the water droplets and the cotton yarn is greater than 90 degrees,indicating that the water droplets will not wet the yarn.After the introduction of tracer fibers,the cross section of the liquid membrane spinning yarn was observed,and the fibers on the main surface entered the yarn,which strongly proved that the liquid membrane spinning was the real elimination of hairiness rather than because the hairiness was "moistened" on the yarn surface.The results show that compared with ring spun yarn,the sliver of ring spun yarn does not deteriorate,the strength does not decrease,and the hairiness of 3 mm or above decreases by 64%.After the winding process,the liquid film spinning yarn and the ring spinning yarn hairiness are increased,but the increase in the hairiness of the liquid film spinning yarn is not as large as that of the ring spinning,and the hairiness of 3 mm and above is 53.1%less than that of the ring spinning.The liquid film spinning feather drop rate was studied by the five factors affecting the position of the liquid bead in the liquid film spinning device,the diameter of the liquid bead,the liquid surface tension,the liquid film durability and the twist coefficient.The results are as follows: when the liquid film spinning device is 2cm away from the guide hook,the liquid bead diameter is 6mm,and the twist coefficient is 340,the hairiness drop rate of the yarn is the largest.With the increase of liquid surface tension and the enhancement of liquid film durability,the hairiness drop rate of yarn increases,and the hairiness drop rate of 3mm or above can reach 89.9% at the best state.The liquid film spinning method can achieve better hair removal effect by only one liquid bead,and has the advantages of no energy consumption,no noise,low operating cost,and easy maintenance.In line with today’s energy saving,environmental protection concept,with broad application prospects.
