The CVD diamond grinding wheel prepared by hot wire chemical vapor deposition(HFCVD)is a new type of grinding tool without bonding agent.The CVD diamond coating on the surface of the grinding wheel is dense and uniform.The shape of the abrasive grain is regular pyramid type.There are certain spaces between the chips,and the single abrasive grain shape is complete.The abrasive grain size is less than 8μm,and the abrasive grain protrusion height is uniform.Therefore,in the field of precision grinding,CVD diamond grinding wheels have higher grinding efficiency,better grinding surface quality and longer grinding wheel life,compared with the traditional bonding grinding wheels.Especially in the field of precision grinding hard and brittle materials,CVD diamond grinding wheels have lots of advantages and application prospects.In my thesis,it has carried out the research on the surface structure design and grinding experiment of structured CVD diamond grinding wheel.Using MATLAB to design the surface three-dimensional structures of the grinding wheels.The mathematical model of the three-dimensional grinding texture surface was established based on the structured grinding wheel.The CVD diamond grinding wheel was machined by pulsed laser to realize the preparation of structured CVD diamond grinding wheel.The grinding experiments on single crystal silicon and tungsten carbide were carried out to obtain the texture surfaces grinding with different morphological features.The effects of grinding parameters on texture variation were investigated.Firstly,the theoretical model of the structured grinding wheel grinding texture was established.Based on the surface parameters of the grinding wheel and the grinding texture topography parameters,a mathematical model of the mapping relationship from the grinding wheel surface structure array to the workpiece surface grinding texture morphology was established.Using MATLAB realized the grinding process simulation based on structured grinding wheel,and generates the three-dimensional shape of the grinding texture.Then the influence of the surface design parameters of the grinding wheel,the grinding motion parameters and the diameter of the grinding wheel on the surface grinding texture of the workpiece were studied.The orthogonal experiment was used to optimize the structural parameters of the surface of the grinding wheel.A three-dimensional simulation model of the grinding wheel with structured array was established.Secondly,the CVD diamond grinding wheel base was designed.The surface morphology of CVD diamond grinding wheel was detected by white lightinterferometer and scanning electron microscope(SEM).Through the pulse laser ablation experiments of CVD diamond grinding wheel surface,the relationship between the equivalent pulse number and the ablation threshold,and optimized the laser structured processing parameters was obtained.Based on the above results,the designed structured CVD diamond grinding wheels were machined.Finally,the grinding experiments of surface texture on the single crystal silicon and tungsten carbide with structured CVD diamond grinding wheels.Different types of grinding textures were obtained by changing the parameters.The correctness of simulation was verified by experimental results.The grinding of specific textures(or micro-structured surfaces)by structured CVD diamond wheels was realized.
