Adsorption heat storage has become more popular since the growing attention of supply and demand inequality based on time and location.In this research,an improvement of composite adsorbent materials using water as the adsorbate is investigated.Some salt like MgSO4,CaCl2,LiCl,and SrBr2 had been tested with Zeolite 13X and Alumina as the host matrix as the high and mid temperature charging material respectively.The material tests result show Zeolite13X-15%MgSO4 and Alumina-CaCl2 have the best performance with adsorption capacity of 635.76kJ/kg and 915.15 kJ/kg.These composites materials then tested to the adsorption heat storage device and produce the heat storage density of404.65 MJ/m3 and 323.06 MJ/m3.In addition a test of Alumina-20%MgSO4 has also been conducted in order to prove the MgSO4 effect.However,MgSO4 in Alumina did not show an improvement of temperature lift rate like Zeolite13X-15%MgSO4 composite.Yet it still improves the storage capacity to nearly the same with Alumina-20%CaCl2 about 320.28 MJ/m3. |
