The market competitiveness of small beatch bulk polypropylene devices is getting worse with the large-scale production of polypropylene in the continuous loop process techonology.In order to adjust the increasingly fierce market environment,this paper optimizes the 100 kt/a small batch bulk polypropylene device of Dongming Yuhuang Chemical Co.,Ltd.to reduce production costs and increase production capacity.After analyzing the production index of January-July 2017,the following problems were found: low production capacity,high propylene consumption,high power consumption,and waste of nitrogen.The main reasons could be: unstable raw material quality and high methanol content,low pressure of polymerization reactor,high failure rate of auxiliary equipment of polymerization reactor,high energy consumption of circulating water field,and no recycle system for nitrogen.In response to the above problems,several optimization measures were formulated: adding a methanol adsorption tower,increasing the pressure of polymerization reactor,modifying the auxiliary equipment of polymerization reactor,integrating the circulating water field,and arranging a nitrogen circulation system.The small beatch bulk polypropylene device was upgraded according the above optimization measures in early 2018,and the device reached a stable operation state after several adjustions by the end of 2018.In order to verify the effect of optimization,the production data of January-March of 2019 was sorted out and compared with the data before.The result showed that the production index of the device has been significantly improved.The detail data were as follows: the monthly output increased by 32.8%;the steam consumption was reduced by 11%;the electricity consumption was reduced by 26%;the consumption of catalyst unit was reduced by 24.5%;the consumption of activator,DDS and hydrogen unit was reduced by 26.4%;and the unit consumption of circulating water agent was reduced by 29.9%,the propylene loss was reduced by 58.1%,and the production cost per ton was reduced by more than 110 RMB.According to the above data,it could be seen that the optimization has achieved fairly good results and achieved expected goals.And the optimization should be carried out constantly and continuously.
