| Formaldehyde is a colorless harmful gas with irritative odor,widely derived from a variety of indoor decorative materials.The World Health Organization(WHO)has listed formaldehyde as a class of carcinogens.Since the 1990’s,the problem of indoor formaldehyde pollution caused by interior decoration in China has become more and more prominent.In order to redress the indoor formaldehyde pollution situation,China’s relevant authorities issued the formaldehyde limit standards of corresponding decorative materials,and carried out a strict supervision,but the recurring formaldehyde pollution problems are still endless.At present,in the control of formaldehyde,in addition to the restrictions of formaldehyde release from decorative materials,there are also some post-pollution treatment,such as: mechanical ventilation,air purifier,formaldehyde scavenger,plant purification and so on.But,these methods have always been unable to achieve effective control of pollution sources.However,interior design plays a decisive role in the application of decorative materials and has great significance for controlling indoor formaldehyde pollution.Therefore,the paper studies the feasibility of formaldehyde pollution control from the indoor design aspect,and to realize the root control of indoor formaldehyde pollution through interior design.First of all,it is exposited in the article the research background and significance of the subject,analysis of the current research situation of formaldehyde pollution at home and abroad,and clarification of the research content and research methods.The present situation of indoor formaldehyde pollution in China was investigated,and the main sources of indoor formaldehyde pollution were analyzed.Secondly,by analyzing the purpose and content of interior design and the major approaches of controlling indoor formaldehyde pollution and their defects,this paper stresses the necessity of controlling formaldehyde pollution from interior design,and verifies the relationship between the loading rate of decorative materials and indoor formaldehyde concentration by numerical simulation,which explains the feasibility of controlling formaldehyde pollution through indoor design.Finally,the control methods of the loading rate of decorative materials are being explored and are applied in the actual interior design practice.While enabling an interior space to fulfill the functional and aesthetic requirements,to realize indoor formaldehyde pollution control effectively.It is found through the study that in the process of interior design,the goal of controllingindoor formaldehyde pollution from its root can be realized by considering how to control the loading rate of decorative materials from the two aspects of material type choosing and material quantity control. |
