Obviously, the development of ultra super critical generator can make a huge promotion of the energy structure of China and it is so irreplaceable because of the energy shortage we are facing today.Materials-development projects for advanced ultra-supercritical?A-USC?power plants with steam temperatures of 650?and above have been performed in order to achieve high efficiency and low CO2 emissions. These projects involve the replacement of 9–12%Cr martensitic steels with 20-25%Co martensitic steels for the higher temperature of boiler and turbine components in order to provide sufficient creep strength at 650?and above. This steel have less than 0.01%C because we want to use AB3 intermetallic compound?IMC?to promote the mechanical property at high temperature instead of using M23C6 carbonitrides. And we also use Co to take the place of Cr in this heat-resistant steel. And OM,XRD,SEM and TEM were used to observe and analyze the fracture and microstructure of this heat-resistant steels. The results show that the structure of the heat-resistant steel mainly consists of lath martensite. And we also did the mechanical test at both 20?and 650?.
