In recent years,some researchers have begun research on graphene/EP composites.However,the results show that graphene is difficult to disperse uniformly in EP,and the improvement of smoke inhibition performance of graphene on EP is not obvious.In order to solve these problems,functionalized graphene was prepared in this work.(1)The α-Zr P-RGO hybrid was prepared by hydrothermal method to load α-Zr P onto the surface of graphene(RGO),and added it into EP to study its effect on thermal stability,fire safety of EP composites.The structure of this hybrid was characterized by XRD,FTIR,Raman and TEM tests.The results showed that α-Zr P was successfully loaded onto the surface of RGO.In addition,the combustion results showed that,on the one hand,the PHRR and THR values of the composites were greatly reduced,the LOI values was significantly increased,the flame retardant performance of EP was improved.On the other hand,compared with the pure EP,the smoke density of the composite material was reduced to varying degrees.In particular,the smoke density reduction of α-Zr P-RGO/EP composite was the most obvious,and its smoke suppression effect was better than the others.(2)The ternary hybrid RGO-LDH/ZIF-67 was successfully prepared by loading Mg Al-LDH and ZIF-67 on the surface of graphene through self-assembly reaction.Subsequently,RGO-LDH/ZIF-67 was added into the by physical blending.According to a series of different tests and analyses,it was found that RGO-LDH/ZIF-67 was beneficial to improve the thermal properties of EP,flame retardant and smoke suppression performances.(3)Functionalized graphene ZIF-67/RGO-B was prepared.The TEM results showed that ZIF-67 was successfully grew on the surface of graphene.In addition,the structure of ZIF-67/RGO-B did not change significantly compared with that of ZIF-67/RGO.Subsequently,the successfully prepared hybrid ZIF-67/RGO-B was added into EP by simple blending method.The combustion results showed that the addition ofZIF-67/RGO-B could reduce the THR,PHRR and smoke release of EP composites.
