Induction heating quenching and self-tempering process is considered to be a more ideal process because of its less processing site,shorter production cycle and lower production cost than that of traditional process.However,the development of induction heating quenching and self-tempering process is difficult,high cost and long cycle,so that the self-tempering process has not yet been effectively popularized and applied.CEDRAT FLUX is a mature software for electric field,magnetic field and thermal field simulation.It has been widely used in induction heating simulation or induction heating quenching simulation,but the research on induction heating quenching self-tempering simulation has not been paid enough attention to.In this paper,the self-tempering process of induction heating and quenching of driving rear axle flange is studied by means of digital simulation and experimental verification.Firstly,according to the principle of induction heating quenching,the main technological parameters,such as heating frequency and heating time,are determined.On this basis,the heating voltage is optimized by CEDRAT FLUX,and the temperature cloud diagram of flange induction heating stage,quenching stage and self-tempering stage are analyzed by using the optimized voltage parameters,and the self-tempering effect is predicted according to the temperature cloud diagram of self-tempering stage.Finally,the optimized process is verified by experiments.The results show that it is suitable to select the self-tempering temperature at 240℃ and the self-tempering time for 19 s.Through the research of this subject,CEDRAT FLUX is successfully applied to the simulation analysis of flange induction heating quenching and self-tempering process,which shortens the research and development time of induction heating quenching and self-tempering process,and reduces development cost.It not only has certain economic value for factory production,but also has certain reference value for future new process research and development.
