Role And Exploration Of Beijing Opera Facial Patterns In The Design Of Women’s Dress

At present,although the design materials of women’s clothing in the new folk sty le are constantly enriched,there are still folk elements to be further developed.Amon g them,the facial patterns of Peking Opera have rich design language and profound c haracter connotation,while the clothing design and development conducted by them i s a drop in the ocean.Looking at the development of this field at home and abroad,it is not difficult to find that the patterns rarely appear in foreign designs,and the applic ation of this element in domestic clothes is mostly in the stage of copy and copy,lacki ng design reconstruction and full of utilitarianism.This paper starts from the changeability of facial mask’s own form,combines the aesthetic requirements of patterns on the layout of different positions of women’s we ar,and seeks the breakthrough of craft form and fabric carrier to the maximum extent on the basis of operability.For this reason,a series of views are put forward: different from ordinary means and rich in variety of form expression;Seek the layout and distr ibution of patterns from two aspects: overall and local subordination and detailed proc essing of different parts.Through embroidery,hand painting,nail-bead,dyeing and ot her forms of technical expression to achieve pattern decoration;The combination of f acial elements and fabrics with different textures endows the works with different des ign expressions.This multi-angle design thinking and practice attempt,taking historic al aesthetics as the soil and using modern ideas to irrigate the charm of new folk style clothing culture,provides more materials for the clothing design application in the sec tion of Beijing Opera facial makeup elements.Finally,from the perspective of culture,aesthetics,economy and other aspects,this paper analyzes the application value of tr aditional and classic facial patterns in the design of women’s dress for display.
