Practice Of "String Pattern" In Contemporary Hand-Made Ceramic Wares

Contemporary hand-made ceramics are an important part of modern ceramics,and also an important manifestation of the integration of modern ceramics into people’s daily life.Contemporary hand-made ceramics implies a new aesthetic concept.It achieves a new artistic form through different shaping techniques and different glaze treatment.This form is controllable and has the characteristics of natural beauty.In the context of today’s era,contemporary hand-made ceramics have occupied a place in the market and are loved by more and more consumers.It is recognized that its natural and plain aesthetic form is incomparable with industrial ceramics for daily use.Combining traditional Chinese elements with modern ceramics is an important way to create modern ceramics,and it is also a regeneration of traditional Chinese elements in the contemporary ceramics art environment.String pattern is one of the most important decorative patterns in traditional Chinese ceramic decorative patterns.It is a new attempt and exploration to apply the artistic characteristics of string pattern to the creation of contemporary hand-made ceramics.Starting with the concept of stringed pattern,this paper combs the vessels with stringed decoration that appeared in various historical periods,screens the more representative vessels for research,and summarizes the stringed pattern features,functional features and aesthetic features.It is the core of this creative practice to apply strings of different forms of aesthetic feeling to the creation of handicraft utensils.
